♥Thank you cards♥ Washi tapes♥

I love saying THANK YOU!! And as missionaries we are constantly blessed by other people in all kinds of ways, so writing Thank you cards all the time is a natural part of life for me.
I dont like to buy cards anymore, I much prefer to make them. So much more personal, so much more meaningful. They dont have to be elaborate or perfectly designed, but simply lovely.
I constantly get inspired by things I see, other people's handmade cards, a cute illustration, or one of Benjamin's latest artwork. That's the beauty of it that you can put your personality and current mood all into a card. And it's sooo fun to work on!!!!

Today I got my new washi tapes in the mail. Ohhhh they are sooo cute!!
LOVE washi tapes!! They makes everything pretty!!

Little stand-up Busytown vehicles

 image

This was just a fun and simple little project. I scanned a few pages from one of  Richard Scarry's Busytown books, printed them, glued them on cardboard with mode podge, then covered the top of the pictures with mode podge, let them dry, cut them out, taped little cardboard triangles to the back so they would stand up, done! He loved playing out stories with them.

:iconkitsune53:
As I was peeling potatoes for dinner this afternoon I have found the strangest potatoes in the potato bag.
For example look at this guys here:

Or this one. Looks like a big fat W.

Okay, so I dont want to gross out anybody with this story, so if you are the fainty type, stop reading NOW.
Benjamin had ear tubes put in two years ago. One of them fell out about a year ago.
This morning I took a flashlight and looked into Benjamin's ear, wondering about the other tube that hasnt fallen out yet. Sure enough. That little blue thing was sitting in his ear canal, I could see it! So after a few tries I managed to gently get it out with a q-tip. Benjamin was COMPLETELY EXHILARATED when I told him that there was a little blue tube in his ear... then when I finally got it out he couldnt stop laughing and screaming of excitement!! (and probably relief) Thus the big grin on his face below.

Busytown T-shirt and Lowly Worm toy

We went to the library today. Just to get out of the house and have some fun.
Ma reggel a konyvtarba mentunk. Csak hogy kimozduljunk a hazbol es vidamkodjunk egy kicsit.

We had two major projects today. First: we made a Busytown T-shirt for Benike. I got a white t-shirt,
printed some Busytown characters on iron-on transfer paper, ironed them on the shirt, Voila! Easy!
But he was beyond himself. So happy!
Ma 2 nagyobb projektunk volt Benikevel. Az elso: Csinaltunk egy Tesz-Vesz polot Benikenek. Vettem egy feher polot, kinyomtattam tesz-vesz kepeket ravasalos papirra, ravasaltam a polora, kesz!
Benike olyan boldog volt!!

Our second project today was making a LOWLY WORM character (also from Busytown). I dont know if you have noticed a pattern here.... yes, my son is big on Busytown these days...)
So we were sewing together. It is a good skill to have for guys by the way. Scott sews really well too.

We were both very happy with how it turned out.
Introducing LOWLY WORM~
Mindketten nagyon elegedettek voltunk a vegeredmennyel.
Bemutatjuk KISKUKACOT~

Busytown Puppets

We had such a fun project today with Benike. He loves Busytown Mysteries, and we decided to make some fun paper puppets of the characters. I drew them with black and cut them out, Benike colored them and taped sticks to their backs. Easy! He was so so so excited for his little puppets! :)

I am absolutely in love with his drawings! ハート水玉(濃ピンク) He drew helicopters today and giant monster spiders... :)
And Daniel Tiger of course.
