Easter week

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I just love the smells in the air, the budding trees, the True Meaning of Easter [Christ has risen!!!], Easter food, the Hungarian folk tradition of <<sprinkling>> even. Everything.

I grew up in Hungary and I love our Easter traditions. Easter in Hungary consists of TWO DAYS. Yes.
Day 1, Sunday, we go to church in the morning, then an nice Easter lunch with ham, fresh bread, egg-dishes, meatloaf with whole eggs inside, vegetable salads and pastries.
In the afternoon we would go back to church, then watch Easter movies with family. They usually show BenHur, the Life of Jesus and other similar movies.

Day 2: Monday is the day for <<SPRINKLING>> and visiting relatives. Sprinkling can take the form of dousing the women with water, or sprinkling their hair with parfume. I prefer the latter.

Husvet az egyik kedvenc unnepem. Szeretem a levego friss illatat, a rugyezo fakat, a Husvet igazi jelenteset [az Ur Jezus feltamadt!!!], a husveti eteleket, a magyar husveti nepi hagyomanyokat, a locsolast... mindent!
Magyarorszagon nottem fel es nagyon szeretem a hagyomanyokat. Magyarorszagon a Husvet ket napbol all. Elso nap: reggel gyulekezetbe megyunk, utana egy finom kis ebed [sonka, friss kenyer, tojas-etelek, fasirt rud tojassal a kozepeben, zoldseg salatak es sutemenyek. Delutan megnezunk valami Husveti filmet amit adnak, a BenHurt vagy Jezus eletet.
Masodik nap: Husvet hetfon a locsolas tortenik es rokonok latogatasa. A locsolas lehet nagyvodorrel sok vizzel, vagy kolnivel. En az utobbit kedvelem jobban.

Haha this is great! :)
Haha... ez jo! :)
We have been doing some fun Easter crafts with Benjamin. To make the little bunnies and eggs is very fun, but I make sure that he knows the real meaning of Easter confidently.

gyonyoru szep lila tulipanok. Ma vettuk Benikevel. :)

Scott and Benjamin had been growing  Burpee lettuce in a pot for 5 days now. It is a great learning experience for Benjamin. He loves getting up every morning and running to the pot to check how much the plants grew during the night. They actually grow so fast that the difference between 8 hours is noticable!
Scott es Benike salatat ultettek 5 napja. Benike sokat tanul ezaltal a kiserlet altal, most tanulja hogyan is nonek a novenyek. Minden reggel izgatottan szalad a cserephez hogy megnezze mennyit nottek a kis salata levelek. Olyan gyorsan nonek, hogy az esti es a reggeli meret kozott szemmel lathato kulonbseg van! :)

♥Photo crafts and workshop♥

We had a great ladies retreat at our church this weekend. <<I am not a retreat girl>> I like to say proudly, but to tell you the truth I really enjoyed this one. The teaching was great, God really spoke to my heart through the sessions. I also had the chance to see our pastor's wife, Cathy RUN like nothing else during the scavenger hunt, and that itself was a treat! :)
I had the privilege to co-lead a little workshop on Saturday morning. I showed different kinds of crafts that one can do with her photos. Had much fun!
